OUR MISSION:
To
help equipment dealers increase profitability through the use of
Charter’s proven, intuitive, integrated, cost-effective business
solutions.
Charter Software is the trusted provider of affordable, Windows-based business management systems designed to increase the profitability of North American equipment dealerships. Charter Software is the only business management software vendor endorsed by six equipment dealer regional associations.
Since the introduction of its first software product in 1985, Charter continues to work directly with manufacturers and suppliers to provide integration with their software and systems. Charter Software’s integration provides the equipment dealer with streamlined business management tools that reduce errors and duplication of effort.
We are pleased to announce the addition of new features
to ASPEN, ourr Windows-based business management system.
Bobcat Bass II Interface, a parts catalog interface for Bobcat Dealers,
and ChargeItPro, a powerful credit card interface for US dealers, are
both
new features that will aid equipment dealers in increasing efficiency
when used
with ASPEN.
Charter Software will be closed Monday, July 5th for the Independence Day weekend. Support hours will resume at 7:00 a.m. mountain time on Tuesday, July 6th. Have a safe and happy holiday!
We had more than 50 dealers who use DealerWin attend our ASPEN Accounting versus DealerWin Accounting webinar today. The feedback so far has been terrific with an average rating of Very Good. Today's webinar covered at a high level the differences between the accounting aspects of our two business system products so customers could get an idea of whether migration makes sense for their business.
Thanks to all the dealers who took an hour out of their hectic schedule to learn more about ASPEN!
The deadline for compliance with the "Red Flags Rule" has once again been extended, this time until December 31st, 2010. The Red Flags Rule requires businesses who deal with consumer credit to establish a written identity theft prevention program to protect sensitive customer information collected for credit accounts.
Because dealerships obtain credit information, it is imperative that these policies and procedures be designed to detect, respond to
and mitigate any loss due to identity theft.
Under the Red Flags Rule, business owners have the flexibility to design
an Identity Theft
Prevention Program appropriate for their business, given its size and
potential
risk for identity. The FTC provides a step-by-step guide on how to design your
Identity Theft Prevention Program.
Because the process can be complex, the delay allows businesses
more
time to put procedures into place, NOT to delay getting started on
establishing them.
For more information on the Red Flags rule, see our previous article on the topic.
We had almost 100 dealers attend our Why Migrate to ASPEN webinar last week! Anne Salemo, President of Charter Software, presented a webinar about the differences between DealerWin, our original Windows-based business management system and ASPEN, the newest addition to Charter Software's products. The response was overwhelmingly positive with a huge interest for our existing customers to migrate to the new product over the next few months. Thanks to everyone who took an hour or so out of their busy schedule to attend. For more information on ASPEN, please email
